Flowering species with showy white flowers and almost evergreen foliage. Leaves are solid, flat(somewhat triangular) and have a sweet garlic flavour when young. It is used in soups, sauces, caviar, salads, meet, egg dishes, etc. The flower stems of garlic chives are used for seasoning many dishes. It can also be used in the treatments of liver, kidney, and digestion problems. The herb is consumed to reduce stress and fatigue. The herb also stops bleeding.
