Neem oil is a naturally occurring pesticide & fungicide found in seeds from the neem tree (Dongoyaro tree).
HOW TO USE NEEM OIL AS A PESTICIDE
Mix the following:
- 5 ml (1 tsp) neem oil
- 1-2 ml (1/3 tsp) liquid soap (Castile or black soap is preferred)
- 1 liter (1 quart) warm water
Multiply these amounts to make a larger batch.
Mix the warm water with the soap first, then slowly add the oil while stirring vigorously. Fill the mix into your sprayer. Spray all parts of the plant especially under he leaves. This is best done in the evening just before the sun goes down. Keep shaking your sprayer container while spraying. Use the mixture within 10 hours.
Neem oil is loaded with nutrients and is also used in natural skin care products because it contains high levels of antioxidants that help protect the skin from environmental damage.
Please note virgin Neem has a very strong pungent odour.
